This song was on my heart this week as my little man hasn't been feeling well and I have found myself struggling with feelings of worthlessness. Written in the 1970s by a young mother in who was living Oregon mobile home - where she and her husband felt the weight of isolation, loneliness and financial struggles while raising their young toddler. As she prayed one morning - feeling as tho she had nothing to offer - the first words of this song came to frution - lifting her voice and shortly thereafter becoming a church staple. It's a beautiful way to redefine worth and purpose in God's eyes. Nights have been a little tough with Mr. Obie's teeth making their way past the gum wall.
